Equipment designers and producers need to deal with the challenges of preparing process equipment for optimal use in the manufacturing environment. Variance in the parts of the process equipment could cause a drop in performance. Parts that composed the equipment are not perfectly identical and their performance levels deteriorate over time due to wear and tear. Pannasoft Optune™

Pannasoft Optune™ enables process equipment designers to easily incorporate automated setting adjustment feature into their equipment. With automated setting adjustment, process equipment can be calibrated to optimal settings before it is used in the production floor. Pannasoft Optune™ has been proven functionally in vision inspection environment where a set of complex optical parameters has to be tuned to produce images with acceptable quality.

The algorithm embedded in Pannasoft Optune™ is a generic optimization component that can be applied to any process parameter setting adjustment. The component can be easily integrated with the software in the equipment. Moreover, Pannasoft Optune™ is a COM object-based component that can be embedded into any Windows-based software in the equipment.

 

During the process adjustment, Pannasoft Optune™ produces several suggestions on the parameter settings of the equipment. Subsequently, the software in the equipment provides feedback to Pannasoft Optune™ on the level of “fitness” of the proposed settings. Based on the feedback, Pannasoft Optune™ intelligently suggests better settings. After several iterations, Pannasoft Optune™ will be able to find a set of optimal settings.
