Pannasoft Exact™ is a unique optical mark and character recognition (OMCR) software component, bundled with critical features to fulfill the demanding needs of machine vision application developers. It uses Autonomous Adaptive Algorithm™ (AAA), a hybrid soft computing technology, combining neural networks with fuzzy logic for superior recognition capability.

Pannasoft Exact™ excels in key areas of recognition performance, emphasizing on speed, efficiency, reliability and even in certain poor quality image environment settings. The component is platform-independent and its dynamic-link libraries (DLL) can be called from any applications, thus providing extra flexibility. Pannasoft Exact™ is trainable with different types of fonts and symbols, further extending the capabilities and usefulness of the OMCR component.

• Pannasoft Exact™ characterizes the structure of the characters based on their features and not solely on spatial patterns. In contrast, template matching matches shapes of single-font characters in textual images in order to identify them.

• Pannasoft Exact™ is more robust as it has the ability to handle small variations in parameters and noise (noise tolerance).

• Pannasoft Exact™ has the “generalization” capacity; the ability to give a satisfactory response for an input which is not part of the set of examples previously trained.

• Users have full control in using any feature extraction methods in Pannasoft Exact™.

• Users are allowed to configure the sensitivity level of the recognition rate in Pannasoft Exact™.

 

THE TRAINABLE OMCR ENGINE

Pannasoft Exact™ allows you to improve recognition by incorporating a trainable engine in the OMCR component. The OMCR engine can be taught to recognize different types of fonts, characters, symbols and objects for better accuracy.
